What is Aetherbytes? Aetherbytes is a community platform for sharing unusual, unexplained, and paranormal experiences. Whether you’ve had a near-death experience, a prophetic dream, a UFO sighting, a Bigfoot encounter, or something you simply can’t explain — this is a safe, respectful space to tell your story and connect with others who understand.
Is Aetherbytes free to use? Yes, completely. Registration is free, reading stories is free, and submitting your own story is free. We do have an optional Ko-fi support button if you’d like to help keep the site running, but it is never required.
Why do I need to register to read full stories? We ask for registration to protect the people who share here. Knowing who is in the room helps us keep the community respectful and safe. Registration takes just a moment and your information stays private.
What kinds of experiences can I share? Any unusual or unexplained experience is welcome — paranormal encounters, near-death experiences, vivid or prophetic dreams, UFO sightings, Bigfoot encounters, unexplained coincidences, intuitions that came true, strange encounters with people or places, or anything that left you wondering “what was that?” If it felt significant and unexplained, it belongs here.
Will people believe my story? Aetherbytes is a judgment-free zone. We don’t require proof, we don’t debate whether experiences are “real,” and we don’t allow mockery or dismissiveness. Every story is treated with respect.
How do I submit my story? Once you’re registered and logged in, click “Share Your Experience” in the navigation menu. Fill out the form and submit — it’s that simple. Stories can be up to 1,000 words.
What happens after I submit my story? Every submission is personally reviewed by the Aetherbytes team before publishing. We handle each story with care and respect. You’ll be notified once your story is live, typically within a few days.
Will my name be attached to my story? That’s entirely up to you. When submitting you can choose to be credited anonymously, by first name and last initial, or by your full name.
Can I remain completely anonymous? Yes. You can choose the anonymous option on the submission form and no identifying information will appear with your story.
Will my full story be visible to everyone? Short excerpts may appear publicly to give visitors a preview of the community. Full stories are only visible to registered members.
Can my story be featured on the homepage? Aetherbytes may feature story excerpts on the homepage at our discretion. Your full story will never be featured or republished anywhere without your explicit consent.
Can I delete my story after submitting? Please contact us through the Contact Us page and we will remove your story promptly.
What if sharing my experience brings up difficult emotions? That’s completely normal — some experiences stay with us for years before we’re ready to share them. Take your time. If you find yourself in distress, please reach out to a mental health professional or a trusted person in your life. You don’t have to process this alone.
What if I see a comment that feels disrespectful or unkind? Please use the Contact Us page to report it. We take the emotional safety of our community seriously and will address it promptly.
Who moderates the content? All stories and comments are personally reviewed by the Aetherbytes founder. This is a hands-on, human-moderated community — not an algorithm.
Is my personal information safe? We collect only your email address and username at registration. We never sell or share your information with third parties. Your email is used only for account-related communications.
